Insurance plans we accept

Aetna

We are in network with Aetna for psychiatric evaluations, medication management and therapy. Your copay or coinsurance depends on your specific Aetna plan’s mental health benefits.

Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and Blue Shield of California

We accept Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and Blue Shield of California, which together cover many Orange County and California residents. Anthem and BCBS plans can differ by state and employer, so verifying your benefits first is the best way to know your cost.

Cigna

We are in network with Cigna for psychiatric care and therapy. Some Cigna members have behavioral health benefits handled separately from medical benefits, and we can help sort that out.

UnitedHealthcare (UHC) and Optum

We accept UnitedHealthcare (UHC) and Optum. Many UHC members’ mental health benefits are managed through Optum, so you may see either name on your card or plan documents.

Medicare

We accept Medicare for psychiatric care and therapy. If you have a Medicare Advantage or supplemental plan, please verify your benefits so we can confirm how your visits are covered. Learn more about our Medicare mental health care, including simple video visits from home.

Oscar

We are in network with Oscar. Benefits vary by Oscar plan, so we recommend verifying coverage before you book.

Magellan and Carelon

We accept Magellan and Carelon, which manage behavioral health benefits for many employer and health plans. If your card lists Magellan or Carelon for mental health, you’re likely to be able to use those benefits with us. Verify to confirm.

Regence

We are in network with Regence, which is especially helpful for patients in Oregon and Washington seeking telehealth psychiatric care or therapy.

Don’t see your plan? We can’t confirm coverage for plans not listed above, but you can still be seen as a self-pay patient (see below).

How to verify your benefits

  1. Submit our Verify Insurance form. Have your insurance card handy. It takes a few minutes.
  2. We check your benefits. Our team reviews your plan’s mental health coverage, including your deductible, copay or coinsurance.
  3. We walk you through it. You’ll know what to expect before your first visit, with no surprises.
  4. Book your visit. Schedule online or call (949) 259-5123.

You can also call the member services number on the back of your card and ask about “outpatient mental health” or “behavioral health” benefits.

What insurance typically covers at IPW Health

  • Psychiatric evaluation. A thorough first visit with a psychiatric nurse practitioner to understand your symptoms, history and goals. This includes an ADHD evaluation.
  • Medication management. Ongoing follow-up visits with your psychiatric nurse practitioner to review how you’re doing and adjust your treatment plan together.
  • Therapy. Individual sessions with a licensed therapist. Learn more about our therapy services.

Most plans cover these as outpatient mental health services, but your share of the cost depends on your plan. See the conditions we treat, including anxiety, depression, ADHD and more.
