Some challenges don’t change just by trying to push through them. They show up in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, habits, and the way you respond to difficult situations.
At Integrative Psychiatry & Wellness, our licensed therapists provide evidence-based talk therapy to help you better understand yourself, work through challenges, and develop practical tools for lasting change.
Therapy focuses on the deeper work behind your symptoms — identifying patterns, processing emotions, improving relationships, and building healthier ways to cope.
Unlike psychiatry, which focuses on psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management, therapy provides a dedicated space to explore your experiences, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with a licensed therapist.
All therapy services are provided through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients throughout California, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado.
Therapy can support you through a wide range of challenges, whether you are managing symptoms, healing from past experiences, improving relationships, or navigating major life changes.
Our therapy services include:
Trauma-focused therapy, including EMDR, helps individuals process painful experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and develop healthier ways of moving forward.
Depression therapy focuses on understanding emotional patterns, improving motivation, processing difficult feelings, and creating meaningful steps toward feeling better.
Anxiety can affect your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and daily life. Therapy helps you understand anxiety patterns, develop coping strategies, and build confidence in managing stress and worry.
Couples therapy helps partners improve communication, navigate conflict, rebuild connection, and work through relationship challenges together.
Therapy can provide support during major changes, grief, burnout, career challenges, relationship changes, and other periods of uncertainty.
Therapy and psychiatry both support mental health, but they approach care differently.

Talk-based mental health support
Therapy focuses on emotions, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and life experiences. A licensed therapist helps you identify patterns, process challenges, and develop skills to support your mental well-being.

Medical mental health treatment
Psychiatry focuses on psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and biological factors that may contribute to mental health symptoms. Care is provided by board-certified psychiatric clinicians.
Some patients benefit from therapy alone, while others find that combining therapy with psychiatric care provides additional support.

No. You can self-refer and begin therapy without first completing a psychiatric evaluation. If your therapist believes medication may be beneficial, we can coordinate an internal psychiatric evaluation and medication management as part of your overall care.
The frequency of therapy sessions depends on your individual goals, treatment needs, and availability. Most clients meet with their therapist weekly or every other week, although your schedule can be adjusted over time as you make progress and your needs change.
Most therapy sessions are approximately 45–60 minutes.
We accept select insurance plans for therapy, and many clients choose private-pay for faster access, their choice of therapist, and no diagnosis on their permanent record. Every private-pay client receives a Good Faith Estimate before their first session — full pricing transparency, no surprises.
