Talk Therapy That Goes Beyond the Surface

Talk Therapy That Fits Your Life

Some challenges don’t change just by trying to push through them. They show up in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, habits, and the way you respond to difficult situations.

At Integrative Psychiatry & Wellness, our licensed therapists provide evidence-based talk therapy to help you better understand yourself, work through challenges, and develop practical tools for lasting change.

Therapy focuses on the deeper work behind your symptoms — identifying patterns, processing emotions, improving relationships, and building healthier ways to cope.

Unlike psychiatry, which focuses on psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management, therapy provides a dedicated space to explore your experiences, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with a licensed therapist.

All therapy services are provided through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients throughout California, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado.

Therapy vs. Psychiatric Care: What’s the Difference?

Therapy and psychiatry both support mental health, but they approach care differently.

Therapy

Talk-based mental health support
Therapy focuses on emotions, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and life experiences. A licensed therapist helps you identify patterns, process challenges, and develop skills to support your mental well-being.

Psychiatry

Psychiatry

Medical mental health treatment
Psychiatry focuses on psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and biological factors that may contribute to mental health symptoms. Care is provided by board-certified psychiatric clinicians. Some patients benefit from therapy alone, while others find that combining therapy with psychiatric care provides additional support.
