Aliso Viejo is a city that works and plays close to home. Plenty of residents commute to an office in the Pacific Park business district, grab dinner at Aliso Viejo Town Center, then head out on the Wood Canyon trail on the weekend. When focus slips, worry follows you home from work or your mood stays low for weeks, it can be hard to find time to deal with it. Integrative Psychiatry & Wellness (IPW Health) offers same-week appointments for new patients, with care in person at our Mission Viejo office or by secure video from home.
Our office is at 27201 Puerta Real, Suite 300, in Mission Viejo, near Crown Valley Parkway and a few minutes from The Shops at Mission Viejo. From Aliso Viejo City Hall on Journey, it’s about 5.5 miles. The quickest route for most drivers is a short hop south on the 73 toll road to Greenfield Drive, then east on Crown Valley Parkway. If you’d rather skip the toll, Aliso Creek Road and Moulton Parkway connect to Crown Valley Parkway on surface streets. Either way it’s usually 15 minutes or so outside rush hour.

A lot of adults in Aliso Viejo hold demanding jobs and still wonder whether ADHD explains the unfinished projects, the restlessness in meetings or the evenings spent catching up. An adult ADHD evaluation looks at your childhood and adult history, how symptoms show up at work and at home, and the things that can look like ADHD, including anxiety, depression, poor sleep and burnout. You leave with a clear answer or a clearer picture, plus a plan. That plan can include therapy, practical strategies, follow-up visits and, when clinically appropriate, medication management.
If you’re not sure whether it’s ADHD or anxiety, our article on how an evaluation tells ADHD and anxiety apart is a good place to start.
Our licensed therapists see California clients by secure video, which makes it easier to fit a session in before work, over lunch or after the kids are in bed. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) builds practical skills for anxiety, panic and low mood. EMDR and trauma-focused therapy can help when a past experience still shapes how you react today. Couples therapy is available both in person at our office and by telehealth. See all of our therapy services.
IPW Health was founded by Shahrzad (Shery) Shadmani, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, a psychiatric nurse practitioner who is also board-certified in family practice. That training means we look at sleep, thyroid and iron levels, hormones and stress alongside your symptoms. In-person psychiatric visits at the Mission Viejo office are with our founder, Shahrzad (Shery) Shadmani, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, on Mondays, and in-person therapy, including couples therapy, is offered there on Saturdays. Psychiatric nurse practitioners Merrick Tsai and Beverly Glavan see patients by secure telehealth, and telehealth visits are available throughout the week. Because psychiatric care and therapy happen in one practice, your providers can coordinate with your consent.
Psychiatric telehealth covers California, Oregon, Washington and Colorado, so you can keep the same provider if you travel or relocate within those states. Therapy is available to clients located in California. Visits are offered in English and Farsi; read about our Farsi-speaking therapist. We also see many patients from neighboring Laguna Niguel and Laguna Hills.
Insurance and cost: We are in network with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medicare, Optum and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage varies by plan, so we verify your benefits before your first visit. Self-pay is available too: a psychiatric evaluation is $350, a follow-up visit is $200, and therapy sessions range from $140 to $250. Self-pay patients receive a Good Faith Estimate before the first visit. See plans and pricing.
